Switching your Checking Account to Horizon Bank is Easy

Follow these four simple steps to make the switch.

Open Account

Open an account online or visit us to speak with an advisor to help you choose the right account for you.

Deposit Funds

The quickest way to fund your account is at the same time as you open your account online. But you can also use our mobile banking app, visit a branch, or at one of our conveniently located ATMs.

Enroll in Online Banking

Make a list of all your former checking account transactions including scheduled bill payments to third parties, any checks you’ve already written, and scheduled transfers to savings or investment accounts. Log in to Online Banking and set up your payments and transfers using your new account.

Close your Account

Before you close your account make sure any pending checks have cleared. Once that happens, you can withdraw all remaining funds you have in the account and ask your bank to close the account.
