Horizon Bank donates $10,000 to Legacy Foundation, Inc.
Michigan City, IN – Horizon Bank is pleased to announce the donation of $10,000 to Legacy Foundation, Inc., an organization that empowers people, provides strategic leadership, and impactful philanthropic support to create an equitable Lake County where all people thrive.
The donation will be used to create the “Horizon Bank Fund” which will be double matched by a grant from the Lilly Endowment as part of Legacy’s “Lake County Forever” campaign. The fund will be opened with $30,000 and will be used to provide grants and scholarships throughout Lake County in perpetuity.
“It was an honor to join Horizon Advisors, Kimberly Modigell and Lisa Kuehl, and fellow members of Women in Philanthropy as we presented a $10,000 check to the Legacy Foundation," said John Freyek, Market President of Lake County. "Horizon Bank is deeply committed to Lake County and all the communities we serve, and this contribution is just one way we demonstrate our ongoing support."
