Horizon Bank Awards Grant to Indiana Guardianship Services, Inc.
Michigan City, Indiana – Horizon Bank is pleased to announce the $2,000 grant awarded to Indiana Guardianship Services, Inc. for their Volunteer Advocates for Seniors and Incapacitated Adults (VASIA) program.
The VASI program is dedicated to providing trained advocates to individuals under public guardianship who are unable to speak for themselves and lack anyone to speak on their behalf. It serves as a vital lifeline for some of the most vulnerable members of our community. Beyond its core advocacy mission, VASI also undertakes the critical task of educating the community about the unique and evolving needs of older adults, particularly those grappling with cognitive decline. They recognize that a well-informed community is better equipped to provide the necessary support and understanding to this growing demographic.
