Michigan City, Indiana – Horizon Bank is pleased to announce the $5,000 grant awarded to Purdue Northwest Sinai Forum for the 2023 season.
The Sinai Forum, renowned for its thought-provoking speaker series, has continually adapted to the evolving landscape of public events and programming. The 70th season began on September 17th spans through December featuring various captivating speakers including Anthony Ray Hinton and David Ross to name a few. Furthermore, the Sinai Forum's innovative educational outreach initiatives have garnered acclaim in recent years. In 2022, the Forum piloted a groundbreaking program in collaboration with Michigan City schools, and has since expanded to include numerous high schools in Northwest Indiana. This initiative allowed teachers to access a free virtual series, enabling them to share the Forum's captivating content with their students during a 30-day on-demand window. This initiative not only enriched the classroom experience but also brought the Forum's enlightening discussions into the educational sphere.
