Horizon Bank Awards $5,000 Grant to the Community Foundation of the Holland/Zeeland Area
Michigan City, Indiana – Horizon Bank is pleased to announce the $5,000 grant awarded to the Community Foundation of the Holland/Zeeland Area.
The Holland/Zeeland Promise is a remarkable initiative that provides a crucial pathway to higher education for students who demonstrate exceptional motivation, academic achievements, and financial need. The program is unique in its approach, as it offers a last dollar scholarship, ensuring that students can pursue their dreams of higher education without accumulating significant debt. Moreover, it focuses on supporting students from low and moderate-income families, and most of the Promise scholars are the first in their families to attend college, making it an essential tool in breaking barriers and fostering community growth.
"We are thrilled to partner with The Community Foundation of the Holland/Zeeland Area in supporting the Holland/Zeeland Promise program," said David Quade, Horizon Bank’s Regional President of Central & Northern Michigan. "By investing in the education of deserving students, we aim to empower them to achieve their fullest potential, and ultimately, to give back to their communities in meaningful ways."
